Michael Qi, a local of Knoxville TN, attends the Department of Bioengineering at University of California, Berkeley as a sophomore. This summer, Michael chooses to participate in the Student Mentoring and Research Training (SMaRT) internship organized by UT-ORII. Michael’s project is “High strength plant fibers for the development of sustainable bio-composite”.
